2013 New Zealand National Agricultural Fielday’s A Great Success

Friday, 19 July 2013 at 12:45pm

2013 was an incredibly successful year for the annual New Zealand National Agricultural Fieldays.  Held over four days in June, visitor statistics recently released show that 125,127 people passed through the gates of the Mystery Creek event.

The event is recognised as a gateway into New Zealand’s innovative, forward thinking agricultural economy.  Because of this, Waibury farms always encourage national and international dairy investors to visit the event.

This year’s event had the theme ‘Getting down to Business in the Global Economy’ which is particularly relevant to the dairy industry in New Zealand as global demand for dairy commodities soar and we strive to become internationally recognised as having the capabilities to feed the world.

Some of the exhibits included an innovation centre that showcased the best industry developments and inventions that improve farming practices in New Zealand and the world.  Here creativity, ingenuity and technological feats continue to impress Agri-sector judges each year.  Another 1,400 exhibition sites were spread across 40 hectares, many reporting record sales and leads this year.

According to organisers there was real positivity evident across exhibitors and visitors this year, which sends a strong signal that there is confidence and a buoyant mood across our agricultural sector and the dairy industry in particular.

Make sure to book in 11-14 June 2014 for the next Fieldays.
